Greetings!

   I am delighted to be a part of the Mustang family this year. This is my first teaching at SSES, however, my seventh year as an educator. I am a very enthusiastic second grade teacher; full of love and creativity that I feel will ensure student academic learning successes.
I have a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Journalism from the magnificent Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. I am also Reading Endorsed. In my 7 years, I have taught all grade levels in various subjects, including art and music. However, I love teaching reading the most. Reading is FUNdamental!
   I am a native of Tallahassee, Florida and a mother of a beautiful and bright second grade ladybug. She is a mini version of me. I love learning and so does she! I am the daughter of an educator of thirty years, and look up to my mother as one of the most influential teachers in my life. I aspire to be as great as she.
In my spare time, I enjoy singing, dancing, drawing, running, shopping and of course spending time with my daughter.
   My motto as an educator is that "Knowledge is power. The more you learn, the farther you will go. When you get an education, you take a stand. Grab it while you can."
